Cuanu Pharmacy, a new pharmacy in GRA, Benin City, Edo State, the pharmacy is a patient/client- centeredpractice and it offers new perspectives in community pharmacy. The pharmacy is located in a clean and safe neighbourhood, and it offers an opportunity for career development and advancement.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Locum Pharmacist
Location: Benin City, Edo State
Slot: 2 Openings
Responsibilities
- Provide a full compliment of pharmaceutical services in a community pharmacy setting with work flow model that allows excellent patient care
- Process prescriptions and dispense medications
- Counsel patients on medications and general health issues
- Guide clients on over- the- counter medication use and respond to symptoms, based on clients’ request
- Provide accurate and unbiased drug information services to patients, other healthcare providers and the general public
- Manage and deliver excellent patient-centered pharmaceutical care services
- Provide health promotion and disease prevention services and programs, including but not limited, to health outreaches and awareness campaigns
- Manage the pharmacy operations by supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization
- Coordinate and supervise other pharmacists, interns and support staff (pharmacy technicians sales assistants and cashiers)
- Keep records and perform other administrative task
- Provide any other pharmaceutical and health related services as may be assigned
Qualifications
- Qualified and registered pharmacists with current annual license issued by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria or
- Intern Pharmacists/Pharmacists on National Youth Service
Skills:
- Pleasant personality with good interpersonal relation and professionalism
- Good communication skills, problem solving, and team work
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with or without supervision, flexible and organized
- Maintains honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and high levels of efficiency and accuracy at all times
- Organizational skills, high-level skill in multi-tasking, championing change and initiative, and excellent customer service
- Leadership/managerial skills are essential, but not mandatory
- Past work experience, especially in the community pharmacy setting will be an added advantage
- Computer literacy and familiarity with inventory management software will be an added advantage
- Experience in compounding/extemporaneous preparations will be an added advantage
