Griezmann tells Atletico Madrid he is leaving the club
MADRID (AP) — Antoine Griezmann is leaving Atletico Madrid.
The France forward says he has decided not to stay for a sixth season with the Spanish club.
He says in a video released by Atletico on Tuesday he wants “to face other challenges.”
Griezmann did not give any hints about his future but has been widely linked with a move to Barcelona.
The 28-year-old player thanked Atletico and its fans for “five incredible seasons” with the club.
