After long delay, Sano’s Twins comeback begins
C.J. Cron, Twins first baseman (↑ UP)
The Twins added a ton of pop to their lineup last winter, but Cron, claimed off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays, was among their savvier pickups. He broke out last year, his age-28 season, hitting 30 home runs with 74 RBI before the Rays designated him for assignment. Burned the year before by Logan Morrison, another Rays slugger coming off a big season, the Twins were undeterred. So far, the move is paying dividends. Cron hit three more home runs last week, and now has nine on the season, tied with Garver for second on the Twins.
