49ers sign tight end Levine Toilolo to 1-year deal
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — The San Francisco 49ers have signed tight end Levine Toilolo to a one-year deal.
The team waived safety Cameron Glenn on Wednesday to make room on the roster.
Toilolo has ties to 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan. He was drafted by Atlanta in 2013 and spent five years with the Falcons. Shanahan was offensive coordinator there for two of those seasons.
Toilolo played last season in Detroit, where he had 21 catches for 263 yards and one TD in 10 games.
He has played 95 games in his career with 95 catches for 986 yards and eight TDs.
Glenn originally signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Wake Forest earlier this month.
