PDP Presents Witnesses At Presidential Election Petition Tribunal
The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Tuesday continued its sitting with witnesses of the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, disputing the result of the presidential election.
All four witnesses are alleging rigging and other malpractices like refusal to use card readers, non-accreditation during the election and thuggery.
The witnesses who were drawn from Niger, Kastina and Kebbi States said the results they collated in their location was different from the ones collated by electoral umpire, INEC.
They also allege that in the INEC result sheets, there were so many cancellations.
The witness from Niger State Mister Audu Sanni alleged that a former House of Representatives member from Lapai led armed thugs to disrupt the election in his own Polling Unit.
More witnesses are been called by the party, but unlike yesterday (Monday) no document has been presented as evidence.
The witness from Kastina, Mr Salisu Majigari who is the State Chairman of the PDP, disputed the 1,555,633 votes accredited to President Buhari.
According to him the figure was allocated to the president by INEC officials and not a true reflection of what happened.
Some of the witnesses said they refused to sign some of the result sheets as a result of the malpractices they witnessed.
More to follow.
