A look at the Timberwolves’ contract situations heading into offseason

The NBA is in a bit of limbo – the season is over but there’s no dates yet for the start of the 2020-21 season.

The salary cap is also an unknown – it was projected to rise to perhaps $116 million but that was pre-pandemic. Now it might remain at around $109 million.

As things stand for the Minnesota Timberwolves, they have seven players with guaranteed contracts currently on the roster (although that could be eight rather quickly). There’s also some decisions to be made on restricted free agents. And perhaps three more players will be added via the draft (Minnesota currently has two picks in the first round and one in the second), which will be held Nov. 18.

Here’s a rundown of the Wolves’ contract situations this offseason, with base salary numbers included (information from Spotrac and basketball-reference.com).
