We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Account Officer / Cashier
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Main Duties
Receipting:
- Receipt of cheque payments and other instruments for products or services from customers
- Issue official receipt(s) for cash or cheque collected from customers
- Reconcile cheque and other instruments with receipts issued out
- Prepare bank deposit slips for lodgement of cheques received
Paying:
- Issue cash and cheque payments to vendors
- Issue cash advances to staff
- Keep custody of petty cash float
- Facilitates the availability of funds to meet day-to-day operational petty cash expenses and emergencies
- Creates and maintains records of cash requests and disbursements
- Processes payment for accounts and issuing receipts
- Collects money from bank for safe keeping before reimbursements
- Files all documents concerning cash payment and collection
Record Keeping:
- Locate and reconcile posting errors on customers’ invoices
- Processes expense retirement ledgers to ensure proper accountability of all cash advances
- Reconciles all received cash, which have been recorded in the petty cash book, with expenses
- Keeps records of amounts received and paid, and regularly checking the cash balance against this record
- Responds to queries regarding approvals, payment limits and deadlines for retirements etc.
- Retires the various imprest accounts
- Prepares daily and weekly collections and payment summary reports for review by the station supervisor
Data Inputting:
- Locate and reconcile posting errors on customers’ invoices

Qualifications
- Minimum of HND / B.Sc in Finance Related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience as a Cashier
- Ability to use Microsoft excel and any other accounting ERP
- Knowledge of the usage of Microsoft Dynamics (NAV)will be added advantage
- Highly emotionally intelligent to manage clients & colleagues.
- A person of high integrity
- Ability to work under pressure and high volume of work,

- Good analytical & reporting skills,
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment,
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
