Job Title: Accountant

Location: Ikotun, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We require the services of an Accountant who will manage all accounting processes for the organization across its various branches.
  • As an accountant, you will be expected to provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, designing, maintenance and implementation accounting systems.
  • You will also be expected to carry out the systematic classification and assessment of accounting data and preparation of related managerial and financial reports.

Responsibilities
A snapshot of your responsibilities include:

  • Review and prepare financial statements and accounting reports for management.
  • Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with finance policies and procedures.
  • Provide advice to the organization on taxation, purchases, and financing.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet profit and loss statements and other reports.
  • Prepare and analyze the weekly/monthly budget/forecast to actual variance reports for the whole community.
  • Develop budget and accounting policies and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Assist the Auditor when applicable by providing supporting documentation and/or information on the internal processes required for Audit.
  • Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
  • Operate bookkeeping and accounting systems.
  • Manage the Petty Cash reconciliation.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / HND in any other relevant field.
  • 2-4 years relevant experience as an accountant or a finance officer.
  • Experience with Oil and gas marketing/distribution will be an added advantage.
  • ICAN or ACCA qualificationis a must.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office package.
