We are recruiting suitable individuals to join our finance team in the position below:

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for contacting clients as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices and reconciling any irregularities in receipts.
  • To be successful in this position, you must possess commercial and business awareness skills, good time management skills, and the ability to prioritise and ensure deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and send invoices to clients
  • Contact clients as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices
  • Reconcile any irregularities in receipts
  • Maintain precise records of all incoming payments
  • Performing all other account reconciliations
  • Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries
  • Assisting in general financial management and analysis
  • Generating account statements
  • Work collaboratively with accounts payable and other accounting staff to ensure accuracy in finances
  • Audit all receipts on a determined schedule to ensure accuracy in accounting
  • Generate and deliver reports to different departments as needed
  • Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in both incoming and outgoing payment
  • Performing all other tasks assign by the finance team

Requirements

  • B.Sc or HND in Accounting
  • Part qualified (ICAN or ACCA)
  • Minimum of two (2) years cognate working experience (preferably in the retail industry)
  • Ability to use Sage accounting software
  • Commercial and business awareness.
  • Problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills, ability to prioritise tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to work well in a team and build strong working relationships.
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office specifically in Microsoft Excel.
  • The desire to learn and take on new challenges.
