Alleged Fraud: Arraignment Of Ondo Assembly Speaker Stalled
The arraignment of the Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Bamidele Oleyeloogun at an Ondo State High Court on Tuesday has been stalled.
This is owing to the absence of the Counsel to the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in court
The EFCC had in March 2021 detained Oleyeloogun and the Clerk of the Ondo State House of Assembly, the Lawmaker representing Akoko South-West Constituency 1, Felemu Bankole for alleged N2.4 million fraud.

Two civil servants attached to the House of Assembly; Olusegun Kayode and Afolabi O. J. were also detained over the alleged fraud.
Meanwhile, journalists who were at the court, located at the premises of the Correctional Centre in Olokuta, Akure to cover the court proceedings were barred.
