APC Confirms Lanre Issa-Onilu As Spokesperson
The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday confirmed Mr Lanre Issa-Onilu as its National Publicity Secretary.
This followed the approval by the party’s North Central Zonal Executive Committee meeting and mini-convention held in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The motion for ratification was moved by the Party Chairman in Nasarawa State Party, Philip Shekwo, and seconded by his Kogi State counterpart, Abdullahi Bello.

Mr Issa-Onilu assumed the office of the APC National Publicity Secretary in 2018 following the resignation of the party’s former spokesperson, Mr Bolaji Abdulahi.
He took over from Mr Yekini Nabena, the party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary who performed in the acting role immediately after Abdulahi’s resignation.
Following his resignation on August 1, 2018, Abdulahi had announced his exit from the ruling party and subsequently joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He accused the APC of rejecting the political group which he belonged and as such, he could no longer justify to himself that he should remain in the ruling party.
