Job Title: Assistant Manager – System and Compliance

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Brief of the Role

  • Manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the company’s Integrated Management Systems
  • Develop and lead the operation and promotion of an integrated management system, encompassing a pro-active health and safety culture across the division/locations. Utilizing the company management system policies and procedures, including risk assessment, accident prevention, health initiatives and acknowledged personal responsibility.
  • Facilitate the maintenance and management of environmental health and safety and audit/ inspection and the establishment of standards and expectations on employees of service excellence and safety awareness behaviors / performance.
  • To maintain an Integrated Management System audit programme for Health & Safety and environmental standards and to ensure that all units are audited on regular interval
  • Review Polices and processes of all departments, identify gaps and recommend improvements and best practices.
  • Audit and Ensure Safety parameters are followed and complied by our staff working on clients / projects sites too.
  • Promote Company Best Practice & Lessons learned
  • Champion the application of our QMS across all offices and disciplines

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, and environment or related field.
  • 5 – 7 years of proven working experience in Health and Safety role. Experience in Industrial/Manufacturing environment would be a plus.
  • Experience in a unionized environment would be a plus.
  • Must be certified.
  • Must be familiar with MIS Process.

  • Very good inspection and reporting skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Patient and assertive, with excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
