Badgers fall to Ohio State 4-2

The Wisconsin Badgers got off to a slow start against the Ohio State Buckeyes and were not able to recover in a 4-2 loss.

Ohio State scored four goals in the first period and had a comfortable 4-0 lead at the first intermission.

Wisconsin (4-5) got on the board with 6:20 to go in the second period with Jason Dhooghe’s first goal of the season. Cole Caufield followed by scoring off his own rebound with 5:11 remaining in the second to make the score 4-2.

The Badgers and Buckeyes both went scoreless in the third period and Ohio State held on for the win.

Wisconsin will be back in action tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. for the second game of its road series against the Buckeyes.
