Blues loan prospects Toropchenko, Alexandrov to their European teams
Two top St. Louis Blues draft prospects, forwards Alexei Toropchenko and Nikita Alexandrov, have been loaned to their respective European teams, the team announced Tuesday.
Toropchenko has been loaned to Kunlun Red Star in the Kontinental Hockey League, where he has eight points (six goals, two assists) in 25 games this season. The 21-year-old winger was a fourth-round draft pick by the Blues in 2017.
Alexandrov, 20, a second-round Blues pick in 2019, has been loaned to KooKoo in the Liiga League in Finland.
Both leagues are the highest in their respective countries.
The Blues retain their rights to both players, who will be recalled after their European seasons end.
