Blues place MacEachern on IR with upper-body injury

Another day, another injury for the St. Louis Blues.

The team announced Sunday that it has placed forward Mackenzie MacEachern on injured reserve with an upper-body injury. The 27-year-old forward joins Ivan Barbashev, Tyler Bozak, Jacob de la Rose, Jaden Schwartz, Robert Thomas, Carl Gunnarsson and Colton Parayko as Blues players who are out of the lineup due to injuries.

MacEachern has been a key member of the fourth line in recent weeks, tallying a goal and an assist over 17 games. If the Blues don’t get any of their injured forwards back for Monday night’s matchup with the Kings, their options to replace MacEachern include Sam Anas, Austin Poganski and Nathan Walker.
