Blues’ Robert Thomas will miss four to six weeks with broken thumb
ST. LOUIS — The Blues will be without one of their top forwards for an extended period.
Head coach Craig Berube announced following Sunday’s practice that center Robert Thomas will miss the next four to six weeks with a broken thumb. Thomas suffered the injury early in the Blues’ Saturday loss to the Arizona Coyotes. He scored the team’s lone goal before exiting.
Thomas, 21, has one goal and five assists this season. He joins Tyler Bozak and Vladimir Tarasenko on the list of Blues forwards currently sidelined with injuries.
If the Blues need to add another forward in Thomas’ absence, they could call upon Jacob de la Rose or Austin Poganski, both of whom are currently on the taxi squad.
