Blues sign Schenn to eight-year, $52 million contract extension

Brayden Schenn, a key forward on the St. Louis Blues‘ Stanley Cup-winning team, will be a Blue for quite a while longer.

The Blues announced Friday that Schenn has signed an eight-year contract extension worth $52 million, carrying him through the 2027-28 season.

The Blues acquired Schenn, 28, in a June 2017 trade with Philadelphia. He tallied 70 points (28 goals, 42 assists) in his first season, when he earned All-Star recognition, and 54 points (17 goals, 37 assists) last season.
