Brewers lefty Brett Anderson allowed six batters to reach bases, but prevented any from crossing home plate. He struck out five in four innings pitched.

Milwaukee star Devin Williams appeared on the hill for the first time since winning 2020 NL reliever of the year and rookie of the year honors. His light load of work consisted of 22 pitches. Williams retired the first two batters he faced, but was pulled before finishing the fifth inning.

Brewers’ outfielder Lorenzo Cain, a 2019 Gold Glove winner, also made his spring training debut, returning from a right quadriceps injury and went 1-for-3 with one strikeout and an RBI single.

Milwaukee only collected two other hits courtesy of third baseman Travis Shaw, who doubled in the second and catcher Omar Narváez, who launched a two-run shot to center field.

The Brewers (10-8-1) will face the Seattle Mariners on Sunday at 3:10 p.m. The club will be back on FOX Sports Wisconsin on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
