Bum shoulder: Tarasenko heading home for medical counsel
Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko is returning to St. Louis to get medical advice on his rebuilt shoulder.
Tarasenko, who has missed the Blues’ last two playoff games against the Canucks, will meet with team doctors for further evaluation of his shoulder, which was injured last October. He underwent shoulder surgery and missed 61 games before returning to the lineup for a July 29 exhibition game in the NHL bubble in Edmonton.
The 28-year-old played in two round-robin playoff seeding games and Games 1 and 2 against the Canucks.
Tarasenko’s status will be updated Monday, the club says. The Blues’ first-round series with Vancouver, tied at two games apiece, will end Sunday if it goes the full seven games.
