The Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, was established on June 9, 2014. The establishment is m accordance with Federal Polytechnics Act, Decree No 33 of 1q79 and Decree No 5 of 1993, as amended. Currently, the Polytechnic operates from a temporary Campus along Ikot Ekpene -Abak dual carnage way before Independence High School, Ukana, Essien Udim. Meanwhile the permanent/main campus is witnessing some building constructions at various stages of completion.

The Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Ukana hereby Invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position below:

Job Description

The Bursar is a Principal Officer of the Polytechnic. He/she is the Chief Financial officer of the institution and responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day control of financial affairs of the Polytechnic.

Qualifications and Experience

The candidate must possess a good honours degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualifications from recognized institution of higher learning with at least eighteen (18) Years post qualification cognate experience. Possession of a higher degree will be an added advantage.
He/she must have occupied the position of a Chief Accountant Deputy Bursar for at least five (5) years in institution of higher learning.
Possession of professional qualification of ANAN, ICAN, ACCA or ICMA is mandatory.
He/she must not be more than fifty-nine (59) years at the time of applying for the post.
He/she must be honest, intellectually/professionally sound and reliable.

Terms of Appointment and Conditions of Service

The appointment will be for a term of five (5) years in the first instance and may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance for another term of five (5) years and no more.

Remuneration
The salary is consolidated and conditions of service are at par with those in all other Federal Polytechnics.
