Job Title: Business Developer / Assistant
Location: VGC, Lagos
About the Job
- A business Developer / Assistant role is the identification of long-term methods to increase value through the development of relationships, markets and customers.
- The core responsibility of a business developer is growing a business.
- Depending on the industry, the day-to-day tasks and strategies to achieve this goal will vary, but the overall mission remains the same.
They also responds to tenders as well as:
- Negotiate company pricing, and forecast revenue,
- Helping the organization maximize their profits.
- Look out for grants that will be useful to the business
- Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth
- Researching, planning, and implementing new target income initiatives
- Ability to draft business plans
- Setting goals for the business development team and developing strategies to meet those goals
- Understand the needs of the businesses and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
- Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
- Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
- Have a good understanding of the businesses’ services and be able to advise others about them
- Ensure staff are on board throughout the organisation, and understand the need for change and what is required of them
- Conducting market research and identifying potential candidates
- Improve promotional strategy and activities within the company
- Seek ways of improving the way the business operates.
Requirements
We need an applicant who possesses communication skills, sales, business intelligence as well as these qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field.
- 1 – 2 years’ relevant work experience in business development or similar field preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral to effectively work with colleagues and other agencies.
- Organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative, prioritise own work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to identify and quantify leads.
Salary
N90,000 – N100,000 Monthly.
