Job Title: Business Developer

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

  • The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts.
  • You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
  • You must understand the Lagos terrain well enough to help acquire key business partners in strategic locations around the state

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong business relationships with key decision-makers
  • Proactively identify new opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to customers
  • Develop market strategies by researching lists of high potential prospects
  • Partner with sales teams to create contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business
  • 3+ years’ of sales or account management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and industry-specific analysis software
  • Basic understanding of the logistics industry, with the ability to become a subject matter expert on the job
