We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

  • The Business Development Executive is accountable for revenue growth, customer acquisition and customer relationship management within the company. Responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, presenting, and closing opportunities of services to ship owners, ship charters and oil and gas companies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Forecast upcoming sales and achieve sales targets
  • Interact closely with clients developing opportunities to support clients through existing and new products and services
  • Negotiates contractual terms and finalizes details of the contract.
  • Facilitates the flow of operational information to ensure effective execution of contracts.
  • Regularly provides market intelligence and research to clients.
  • Provide timely support to customers through proactive management of postfixture activities
  • Identify and capture additional revenue opportunities.
  • Assist with evaluating new opportunities for additional revenue from new and existing clients by analyzing requirements, potential for revenue growth and evaluating options whilst maintaining company priorities.
  • Work independently to ensure services are delivered to clients to a high standard
  • Communicate effectively with clients, peers, superiors, and other company personnel.
  • Carry out market research as required and provide ongoing support to clients.
  • Protect the company’s values by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains excellent relationships with all stakeholders of the business.
  • Update job knowledge by taking advantage of educational opportunities; professional development activities and maintaining a sound professional network.
  • Enhance organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for delivery of new requirements to clients; and always exploring opportunities to add value to our clientТs customer experience.
  • Develop accounts to create new sales opportunities
  • Seek and develop new accounts to increase sales volumes
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of market drivers and customer business processes.
  • Facilitate customer inquiries and coordinate them with Inside Sales, Engineering, Operations, and other departments.
  • Conduct technical solution presentations to key and target accounts.
  • Provide regular, accurate sales forecasting.
  • Able to understand customer problem and support the development of solutions.
  • Profitably acquire new customers.
  • Facilitate Voice-of-the-Customer sessions.
  • Gather and analyze customer, market, and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop presentation materials and technical papers.
  • Prepare documents for tenders and following up
  • Provide cold calling and following on communications to potential clients.
  • Following up on all invoices
  • Work with principal management to develop strategies for expanding the current client base and increase market presence.
  • Attending marketing meetings and business development functions.
  • Assist in preparation of marketing materials, presentation, and proposals.
  • Must know Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures and work instructions as it applies to the position.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • University/Polytechnic Degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline, or Business Degree with over 6 years work experience.
  • Must have oil and gas working experience with track records.
