Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Business Development & Marketing Strategy:

  • Exhibit sound general Strategic Perspective towards business development
  • Develop and execute a marketing strategy that fits with the communicated business strategy
  • Carry out market research and report on trends, prospective clients, and solution equipment suitability for direct marketing and sales reporting purposes.
  • Develop digital marketing strategies that evolve with changing technology
  • Develop and directs proposal development processes that are timely
  • Ensures registration of business in industry-based networks and associations.
  • Develop new business channels for projects
  • Identify and solicit new clients within the target market parameters.
  • Line managing and coordination the business development / marketing team
  • Test, track and evaluate results of all marketing initiatives
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
  • Collecting, understanding, and transmitting the business requirements for projects.
  • Analyze and document business processes.

Customer Service and Stakeholders Communications:

  • Develop and maintain a database of current and potential customers
  • Ensure complaints and inquiries by clients are dealt with and resolved in a professional manner.
  • Ensure communication channels are maintained and developed
  • Document workflows and results of business analysis.
  • Develop profitable relationship with all customers and other stakeholders
  • Maintain and develop good working relationship with relevant government establishment.
  • Ensure adequate reporting of activities.
  • Assist with Service Level Agreement negotiations/MOU.
  • Seek information from clients to understand possible changing situations, needs and desired benefits.
  • Ensures maintenance of a comprehensive system for business development document control.
  • Monitors administrative procedures for won projects.

Budgeting and Financial Monitoring:

  • Ensure achievement of overall revenue target of the Business Development Unit.
  • Oversee risk assessment and cost estimating for proposals
  • Plan and carry out marketing activities to agreed budgets, volumes, values and timescales.
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 5 – 7 years work experience.
