Cardinals activate Helsley, send him to Memphis
The St. Louis Cardinals reinstated reliever Ryan Helsley from the 10-day injured list Wednesday, but he won’t join the club in Seattle.
Helsley, 24, was optioned to Triple-A Memphis. He had been placed on the IL with a right shoulder impingement June 13.
The right-hander has a 3.48 ERA in seven appearances spanning 10.1 innings this season.
