Coming home: St. Paul Saints to return to CHS Field on Aug. 4

The St. Paul Saints are coming home.

After spending the first 23 games of the 2020 season playing their home games in Sioux Falls, S.D., the Saints will be returning to CHS Field for the rest of the year beginning Aug. 4.

All 18 remaining home games will be played at CHS Field. A maximum of 1,500 fans will be allowed at the ballpark, scattered among six sections of the ballpark with no more than 25% capacity in each area.

“We want to thank the Governor’s task force and the Minnesota Department of Health for providing us with the guidance needed to put a plan in place that allows our fans to safely enjoy Saints baseball at CHS Field this summer,” Saints general manager Derek Sharrer said. “Since this all began, the health and safety of our fans, employees, players and coaches has been our priority.  We’re excited to bring the team home and can’t wait to get started.”

Tickets will go on sale Aug. 1.

St. Paul has compiled a 10-13 record and currently sits in fifth place out of the six American Association teams competing in 2020.
