Czech international Sural dead after auto accident in Turkey
ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Czech international Josef Sural has died and six other players have been injured after their team’s bus was involved in an auto accident on the way home from a game in Turkey’s top-tier soccer league.
Alanyaspor said in a Twitter post that Sural, 28, died in a hospital early Monday.
State-run Anadolu Agency reported that the team’s minibus was returning from an away game against Kayserispor, in central Turkey, when it overturned. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
Sural, a forward who made his debut for the Czech national team in 2013, joined Alanyaspor in January.
