Dally, Ulloa help FC Cincinnati end skid, beat Dynamo 3-2

CINCINNATI (AP) — Rashawn Dally and Victor Ulloa scored their first goals and FC Cincinnati rebounded from a dismal outing with a 3-2 win over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday night, ending a six-game losing streak.

Kekuta Manneh scored his team-leading third goal in the 29th minute to give Cincinnati the lead. Dally, a rookie, earned his goal in the 38th minute, sending a hard shot after a strong play off a tackle by Mathieu Deplagne.

Cincinnati (4-13-2), which lost 7-1 to Minnesota in its last game, went up 3-0 when Ulloa’s straight-on shot from rolled through the legs of Dynamo keeper Joe Willis.

Houston (8-7-3) made it a match with Romell Quioto scoring on a penalty kick in the 79th minute for his first of the season and Nick Hagglund adding an own goal two minutes later.

SOUNDERS 2, CREW 1

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Nicolás Lodeiro scored his second goal in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time to lift Seattle.

The Sounders’ Kelvin Leerdam hit the crossbar on a free kick in the 94th minute and then Lodeiro headed a deflected cross into the right corner to help Seattle (9-5-5) win for the second time in its last three.

Lodeiro tied it with a penalty kick in the 56th after the Crew’s David Guzmán took Lodeiro down in the area.

Santos converted a penalty kick in the 13th minute, finishing into the right corner to end the Crew’s three-game scoring drought. It was their first lead since the beginning of June. Columbus (5-13-2) lost its fourth in a row and extended its winless streak to eight games.

SPORTING KC 1, FIRE 0

KANSAS CITY, Kansas (AP) — Yohan Croizet scored in the 14th minute and Sporting Kansas City held on to beat Chicago.

Felipe Gutiérrez launched the counterattack from behind the center circle, splitting a pair of defenders with the through ball and giving Croizet the opening to run behind and slot it past the onrushing goalkeeper.

Tim Melia made two saves for his third clean sheet of the season.

Sporting KC (5-7-7) ended a two-game losing streak.

The Fire dropped to 5-8-7.

MINNESOTA UNITED 3, IMPACT 2

MONTREAL (AP) — Mason Toye scored twice to help Minnesota rally from a pair of deficits.

Ethan Finlay also scored for United (9-7-3).

Anthony Jackson-Hamel and Rudy Camacho scored for the Impact (9-9-3).

Finlay got the tying goal after a controversial call just before halftime. Finlay was in a 1-on-1 with Montreal goalkeeper Evan Bush, who stuck out his leg to stop the ball. However, referee Alan Kelly called a penalty when Finlay went to the ground. After a review through the Video Assistant Referee, Kelly upheld his initial call and issued a yellow card to Bush.

Finlay then got his third goal of the year to tie it 2-2, prompting boos from the home crowd.

Toye’s second goal of the game, in the 46th minute put Minnesota ahead for the first time at 3-2.

EARTHQUAKES 1, REAL SALT LAKE 0

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Danny Hoesen scored in the third minute of second-half stoppage time to leadSan Jose.

Paul Marie took Cristian Espinoza’s short corner, drove it into the area and sent a cross into the area. Hoesen finished it with a roundhouse kick.

Daniel Vega had five saves for the Earthquakes (8-7-4) for his sixth clean sheet of the year.

RSL’s Nick Rimando made two saves as he became the first player to appear in 500 MLS regular-season games. Real Salt Lake dropped to 8-9-2.

LAFC 6, WHITECAPS 1

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Carlos Vela scored twice and Los Angeles FC rallied to a club-record six goals after giving up the opening score.

Vela, with 19 goals on the season, extended his lead to six goals ahead of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the MLS Golden Boot race. LAFC (13-2-4), in its second year, became the quickest franchise to reach 100 points.

Yordy Reyna took advantage of a goalkeeping error to open the scoring in the fifth minute for the Whitecaps (4-8-8). But Vancouver’s Andy Rose knocked in an LAFC corner for an own goal that leveled the score in the 35th minute.
