Dumba, Staal score in Wild’s 3-2 exhibition loss to Avalanche
In their final exhibition tune-up before the best-of-five series against Vancouver, the Minnesota Wild lost 3-2 to Colorado on Wednesday afternoon.

After Colorado scored first, Wild defenseman Matt Dumba knotted the game at 1 with a power-play goal with 16:55 to play in the first period. Later in the opening period, Eric Staal found the back of the net off assists from Carson Soucy and Zach Parise.
Nathan MacKinnon, Joonas Donskoi and Gabriel Landeskog scored for Colorado.
Alex Stalock stopped 14 of 17 shots he faced. Devan Dubnyk didn’t allow a goal and tallied 12 saves in 28 minutes on the ice.
The Wild begin their qualifying round series with the Canucks on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. The game will be televised on FOX Sports North.
