Former Chiefs’ DE Jared Allen not named to 2021 Hall of Fame class
The Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2021 was announced on Saturday night and former Chiefs defensive end Jared Allen was not among those elected.
The Chiefs selected Allen in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL draft. The defensive end played his first four seasons in Kansas City before heading to the Minnesota Vikings. He racked up 136 total sacks in his impressive career.
It was Allen’s first year on what was a crowded ballot headlined by Peyton Manning, Charles Woodson, and Calvin Johnson.
Allen will have to wait for another chance to become enshrined to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.
