FOX Sports Southeast’s first-half coverage of Atlanta Hawks basketball slated to begin Dec. 23
ATLANTA – FOX Sports Southeast, exclusive regional broadcaster of the Atlanta Hawks, will televise all 37 Hawks games for the First Half of the 2020-21 NBA season. The telecasts will be anchored by the network’s flagship pre- and postgame show, Hawks LIVE, delivering expert analysis before and after each game.
After a busy offseason, the Hawks will open the season Wednesday, Dec. 23, versus the Chicago Bulls, with a bonus one-hour edition of Hawks LIVE at 7 p.m. ET.
FOX Sports Southeast’s legendary broadcast team of Emmy winner Bob Rathbun, the longest tenured TV play-by-play announcer in Hawks history, and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins will both return to call games for network. They will be joined by veteran reporter Kelly Crull for her first season as courtside reporter. Crull also serves in a similar role for Atlanta Braves and ACC football telecasts on FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast.
Hawks LIVE will be hosted by Emmy winner Jerome Jurenovich. He will be joined by two-time WNBA champion, WNBA All-Star and NCAA champion Renee Montgomery for her first season as a Hawks LIVE analyst. Montgomery is also the co-host of TMZ Sports and has previously served as a guest analyst for Hawks LIVE and game analyst for the G League’s College Park Skyhawks. Georgia Sports Hall of Famer Mike “Stinger” Glenn will also return to the network as an analyst and reporter for select telecasts.

Prior to the season opener, FOX Sports Southeast will also televise all four Hawks preseason games, giving fans the opportunity to see the Hawks on the court for the first time since March 11:
- Orlando Magic vs Atlanta Hawks on Friday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. ET
- Orlando Magic vs Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, December 13 at 5:00 p.m. ET
- Atlanta Hawks vs Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday, December 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET
- Atlanta Hawks vs Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, December 19 at 8:00 p.m. ET
Telecasts for the 2020-21 season will exist in an environment like none other in NBA history with little-to-no fans in the stands. In addition, there will be broad changes to production elements and protocols due to the global pandemic. Each production will be a multi-network effort to deliver quality games with FOX Sports Southeast shooting all Hawks home games on the network and taking the home team’s network feed for road games. Our broadcasts for both home and road games will emanate from our broadcast areas at State Farm Arena.
The NBA’s 75th regular season will feature a 72-game regular season schedule and a Play-In Tournament to determine the teams that will fill the seventh and eighth playoff seeds in each conference.
