Frankie Montas shuts down Astros, Athletics win again, 3-1
In what turned out to be a pitcher’s duel, Montas out-dueled Framber Valdez. Both starters pitched seven strong innings, but Montas did not allow a run, giving up two hits and striking out five. Oakland improves to 11-4 and Houston falls to 6-8 on the season.
