Key Responsibilities

Determining the structure and design of web pages.
Ensuring user experience determines design choices.
Developing features to enhance the user experience.
Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones.
Building reusable code for future use.
Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages.
Collaborate with other developers and contribute to building shared standards, tools, and approaches
Write functional requirement documents and guides.
Create quality mock-ups and prototypes.
Help backend developers with coding and troubleshooting.
Ensure high quality graphics standards and brand consistency.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Understanding of key design principles.
Proficiency with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Knowledge of React (added advantage)
Understanding of server-side CSS.
Experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe Illustrator.
Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
Understanding of SEO principles.
Good problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Can work with modern web stacks (transpilers, linters, build and CI tools, etc.).
Can build maintainable, scalable, and well-structured semantic HTML/CSS and JavaScript (vanilla JS, ES6).
Can write and maintain unit and integration tests.
