Gibson allows five runs in Twins’ 10-6 loss
Kyle Gibson allowed five runs on eight hits over 2 2/3 innings of work, and the Minnesota Twins lost 10-6 to the Boston Red Sox on Friday night.

Boston scored three runs in the first inning and added five in the fifth. Gibson allowed homers to Red Sox sluggers Andrew Benintendi and Jackie Bradley.
Gibson hadn’t allowed a single run in his previous two spring-training starts.
Max Kepler’s RBI double in the second inning got Minnesota on the scoreboard. Marwin Gonzalez and Jason Castro tallied one RBI apiece in the sixth.
The Twins made things interesting in the ninth inning, scoring two more runs and loading the bases for Adam Rosales, but Boston’s Daniel McGrath forced the Twins’ infielder to fly out to center field to end the threat.
