Job Title: Global Head of Telco Sales
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- We have created a role for a dedicated Global Head of Telco Sales to lead go-to market strategy and be accountable for the global growth of Canonical in the Telco sector.
- With excellent commercial acumen and a deep appreciation of telco industry trends and expectations, you will drive this business segment with full awareness of marketing, revenue generation, investment and delivery costs.
- You will be responsible for go-to-market strategy for both partner-centric telco efforts and Canonical’s direct sales efforts, and shaping Canonical’s general purpose offerings to the needs of this particular audience.
- Content, marketing strategy, and go-to-market are part of the remit, in partnership with our marketing, product, engineering and sales leads.
- Suitable candidates will possess a background in telco engineering management and will have gained experience in defining product strategy and driving engagement.
Key Responsibilities
This role is about commercial leadership of Canonical’s Telco sector go-to-market and offerings:
- Guiding product management to ensure fitness of our platform and solutions in the Telco sector
- Building alliances and relationships with global leaders in the Telco vendor ecosystem
- Shaping our content and messaging strategy for Telco customers
- Driving business development and sales with service providers, Telco ISVs and Network Equipment providers
Valued Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will bring:
- Experience in lead generation and business development from the Telco sector
- Deep commercial experience encompassing revenue and costs
- Familiarity with relevant industry requirements and standards
- A technical or scientific background/qualifications
- Proven leadership and presentation skills
- Awareness of Ubuntu and Canonical’s competition and opportunities
- Track record of data-driven decision-making
