Gophers close out regular season with 4-2 win over Michigan
The No. 3 Minnesota Gophers closed out the regular season with a 4-2 win over No. 7 Michigan on Saturday night at 3M Arena at Mariucci.

Minnesota got goals from four different skaters and Jack LaFontaine picked up his NCAA-leading 18th win in net, making 22 saves on 24 shots.
Bryce Brodzinski opened the night’s scoring with his seventh of the year at 16:25 of the first period. Michigan responded a minute later, however, to lock the game at 1-1.
The Gophers reclaimed the lead at 11:36 in the second as Scott Reedy scored on the power play.
Early in the third, Blake McLaughlin scored seconds after a Minnesota power play ended to give the Gophers a 3-1 advantage.
After Michigan brought the game back to within one late in the period, Ryan Johnson put the game away with an empty-netter.
The Gophers finished the regular season 20-6-0 overall and 16-6-0 in the Big Ten.
