Gophers forward Omersa opts out of remainder of season

Minnesota Gophers forward Jarvis Omersa will opt out of the season’s remaining games due to personal health concerns surrounding COVID-19.

Omersa has appeared in all seven games this season, averaging 9.9 minutes per game. The junior is averaging 1.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest.

Head coach Richard Pitino issued the following statement: “We support Jarvis and his decision to opt out for the rest of the season due to personal health concerns surrounding COVID-19.”
