Job Title: Group Accounts Director, Client Services

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Summary

• The satisfactory candidate must be able to conceptualize and implement strategic public relations initiatives for clients.

Job Description

• Set objectives for the PR team and monitor team members’ performance.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media and influential professionals.
• Liaising with marketing and advertising agents in order to ensure that the image of the client adheres to the pre-established parameters.
• Planning new and original campaigns for clients, presenting strategies, plans, pitches, costs, alternatives, and deadlines.
• Creating and handling the public image of the client, preparing press statements, and taking a stance with critical issues; managing bad press, if any.
• Being able to deal with a diverse group of people in potentially adversarial situations using a calm, polite, tactful, discreet, and effective approach.
• Arrange interviews and press releases to promote Client’s and their products/services.
• Ensure brand consistency in all advertising efforts for Clients.
• Assign tasks and projects to the PR team.
• Report on PR campaigns’ results and creative abilities & team management skills.
• Solid experience coordinating successful PR campaigns for clients.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to serve as the company’s spokesperson.

Requirements

• B.Sc / M.Sc in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years experience.
• Strong certification in NIPR.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (essentially MS Word and PowerPoint).
• The candidate must be between
• 40 – 50 years of age.
• Proven work experience as a Public Relations (PR) Director, PR Manager or similar role effective in Clients Account Management.
