Gunmen Attack Commissioner’s Country Home In Imo
Gunmen have attacked the country home of the Imo State Commissioner of Information, Declan Emelumba, within the Ubulu-Ihejiofor community in the Oru West Local government area of Imo state.
Mr. Emelumba who confirmed this incident to Channels Television said some part of the building in his compound was razed by the assailants but no life was lost.
He said the gunmen after attacking his home proceeded to the home of the Interim Management Committee Chairman of Oru West Local Government Honourable Wille Okoliogwo and also razed down some parts of his house.

Emelumba further stated that after attacking Okoliogwo’s house, the miscreants made away with the Local Government Ambulance parked in the chairman’s compound.
The commissioner said the ambulance is one of the vehicles recovered by security operatives during the attack on the police headquarters in Owerri, an attack which was repelled by security agencies on Sunday morning.
At the time of filing this report, the police were yet to issue any statement regarding the attack on both the Commissioner’s house and the home of the Interim Management Committee Chairman.
