Ave Maria Microfinance Bank (AMMFB) of the Catholic Diocese of Oyo is a faith-based, non-bank micro finance institution established by the Catholic Diocese of Oyo to cater for all people, with emphasis on the poor and the vulnerable irrespective of religion, race, age or gender that are financially excluded. Ave Maria MFB promotes holistic human development and strategic actions against ills of the society towards the realization of a just and egalitarian community through animation, conscientization, awareness, training, advocacy, supports, mobilization networking and Entrepreneur Development and Micro- Credit Programme.

Ave Maria has been in existence since 2009 as a department under a Non Government Organization called Justice Development & Peace Movement Oyo Diocese incorporated on 5th February 2007 by the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja, with RC NO CAC/IT/NO 22933 as Non-Profit Organization.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Operation

Location: Iwere Ile (Iwajowa Local Gov’t), Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate branch operations activities on a daily basis.
• Maintain a highly motivated, skilled, and trained workforce with operations.
• Ensure that all activities and processes undertaken by the operations unit conform to set standards pertaining to banking policies.
• Ensure technical, banking, and operation policies are efficiently and appropriately achieved.
• Manage centralized loan processing and account opening functions to ensure efficiency, quality, and control over loan creation and completeness of Know Your Customer (KYC) / Anti-Money Laundering (AML) activities.
• Vault balancing.
• Central Operations – Account Services, Clearings, Payments, Cash Management and Reconciliation.
• Card Operations – Account Services, Reconciliation of the Bank’s debit card activities
• Safeguard customer data and protect against fraud through management of authorization levels and access rights.
• Treasury Operations – FI Transaction activity and 3rd Party Funds / Investment.

Requirements & Qualifications
Applicant must possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum of B.Sc / HND qualification from a recognized institution in any discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Banking/Microfinance institutions will be an added advantage.
• MCP Certification in microfinance banking will be an added advantage.
