Heisman Forecast: These five players are the only ones capable of winning the trophy

Taylor’s numbers are similar to those of Ohio State’s J.K. Dobbins (Dobbins has 826 yards to Taylor’s 825), but the Badgers star has a nation’s best 14 touchdowns. Plus, with Fields, Dobbins isn’t the Buckeyes most logical candidate. Taylor is that for Wisconsin and he’s the position’s only real chance at a second Heisman in the last 10 years. He’s averaging 137.5 yards per game, and if that carried through a potential spot it the Big Ten title game, Taylor would be at 1,787 yards on the year and challenging to become just the seventh player ever with 6,000 or more career yards (and he’s just a junior, mind you). The other four players to reach that mark at major programs (Ron Dayne, Tony Dorsett, Charles White and Ricky Williams), are all Heisman winners.
