Injured Thomas will miss Game 2 vs. Bruins

Robert Thomas, the St. Louis Blues’ 19-year-old rookie forward, will miss Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Coach Craig Berube announced Wednesday morning that Thomas would be out with an unspecified injury. He said it was not a result of a hit by a helmet-less Torey Krug in the Blues’ Game 1 loss.

Robby Fabbri is expected to play in Thomas’ place, though Berube did not confirm that. Fabbri skated with Pat Maroon and Tyler Bozak on the Blues’ third line Wednesday morning.

Berube also said defenseman Vince Dunn remains out. Dunn has not played since taking a puck to the face in Game 3 of the Blues’ Western Conference Final series against San Jose.
