Led by Caufield, Badgers claim Big Ten regular season title

The Wisconsin Badgers are Big Ten regular-season champions.

Led by a pair of goals from Cole Caufield, the No. 5 Badgers skated to a 2-1 victory at Michigan State to clinch the Big Ten regular season title.

Freshman Cameron Rowe came up huge in net for Wisconsin, recording 40 saves.

After a scoreless first period, the Spartans struck first, scoring at 13:09 in the second with a goal from Charlie Combs.

The Badgers went on the man advantage with just a minute remaining in the second period and the national goal-scoring leader Caufield took it from there, scoring to tie the game.

Caufield broke the tie at 7:49 in the third period to give the Badgers their first Big Ten regular-season title.
