David Bakhtiari, who was listed as doubtful earlier in the week, was downgraded to out by the Packers on Saturday due to a chest injury. He did not travel with the team to Houston.
Bakhtiari played 40 of Green Bay’s 63 offensive snaps last week against Tampa Bay, as he exited the game in the third quarter. The Packers haven’t announced who will be starting in his absence against the Texans in Week 7, although Rick Wagner filled in at left tackle last week.
As a team, the Texans — led by former Wisconsin star J.J. Watt — are tied for ninth in the NFL with 16.0 sacks.
Sunday will mark Bakhtiari’s first missed game since 2017 when he sat out four contests with a hamstring injury.
