Lynx trade guard Odyssey Sims to Indiana
The Minnesota Lynx cleared up space on their roster Monday, trading away guard Odyssey Sims, the rights to Temi Fagbenle and the team’s 2022 first- and third-round picks to Indiana. In return, the Lynx receive Indiana’s 2022 second-round pick.
More Lynx coverage
Sims played the last two seasons with Minnesota. She was named in All-Star in 2019 after posting 14.5 points, 5.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
Fagbenle spent three years with the Lynx, logging career averages of 3.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 69 contests. She was selected in the third round (No. 35 overall) by Minnesota in 2016.
The move makes room on the roster for Aerial Powers, who signed with the Lynx in free agency after averaging 16.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in six games for Washington in 2020.
