MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Manchester United clinched the second-tier Women’s Championship title with a 7-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

In its debut season, Casey Stoney’s United has netted 88 goals in 18 league matches and conceded seven times, with two games remaining.

United’s promotion to the Women’s Super League was already clinched in the previous game but it has to be ratified by the English Football Association, with the club expected to meet the licensing criteria.
