NHL releases Minnesota Wild 2020-21 schedule

The NHL released regular season schedules for all 31 teams Wednesday. The 2020-21 NHL season will consist of 56 games, beginning Jan. 13 and concluding May 8. Sixteen teams will advance to the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the postseason concluding in mid-July.
The Wild open up the 2020-21 season on a four-game road trip, the longest to start a season in team history. Minnesota hosts San Jose on Jan. 22 to open up the home schedule.
Minnesota’s longest homestand is six games, from mid- to late-January. The Wild will play nine sets of back-to-back games — four on the road and five at home.
