No. 1 Gophers top ASU 6-4, move to 10-0
The No. 1-ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers kept up their winning ways with a 6-4 win over the Arizona State Sun Devils on Monday night at 3M Arena at Mariucci.
Minnesota (10-0) got on the board first thanks to a goal from Bryce Brodzinski with 10:10 left in the first period. Jonny Sorenson gave the Gophers a 2-0 advantage with a wrap-around score with 3:48 left until the first intermission.

The Sun Devils took the lead with three straight goals in the second period, but Sampo Ranta sniped in a goal with 7:16 left in the period to tie the game up. Minnesota’s Sam Rossini put the home team back on top with a long-range goal at 3:35 left in the period.

The Gophers got goals from Brannon McManus and Blake McLaughlin in the third period to ice the game away. Arizona State added another goal late in the period to make the final score 6-4.
Minnesota will start a two-game road series against the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday.
