No Pacers players selected as NBA All-Stars

Despite ranking second in the NBA with 23 double-doubles and posting 21.5 points and a team-leading 11.6 rebounds per game, Indiana Pacers center Domantas Sabonis was left out of the pool of 2021 Eastern Conference All-Stars as reserves were announced Tuesday night. Barring an injury, that means Sabonis won’t have the opportunity to repeat as an All-Star after making his debut in the midseason classic last year.

Malcolm Brogdon, who leads the Pacers with 21.6 points per game and is tied for the team lead with an average of 6.6 assists, and Myles Turner, who leads the NBA with 3.5 blocks per game, were among the other notable players left off the All-Star roster.

Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown, Nets guard James Harden, Bulls guard Zach LaVine, Knicks forward Julius Randle, Sixers guard Ben Simmons, Celtics forward Jayson Tatum and Magic center Nikola Vucevic were the players named to the Eastern Conference reserve pool on Tuesday night.
