Ohio State women close on 6-0 run, top No. 24 Michigan 78-69
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Freshman Madison Greene scored a season-high 23 points and Ohio State beat No. 24 Michigan 78-69 on Thursday night in their lone regular-season meeting.
Greene topped her previous best of 13 points by making 8 of 10 shots, including 2 of 3 3-pointers.
Kierstan Bell added 15 points and Braxtin Miller scored 13 for Ohio State (9-6, 2-2 Big Ten). Dorka Juhasz, the leading scorer for the Buckeyes, had nine points and six rebounds.
Naz Hillmon had 24 points and 15 rebounds, and Kayla Robbins scored 17 for Michigan (11-4, 2-2). Hillmon had 18 points and nine rebounds in the first half and Robbins added 10 points as the duo made 11 of 12 shots to help Michigan build a 38-35 halftime lead.
Michigan scored 44 points in the paint compared to 24 for Ohio State and the Wolverines had a 39-25 rebounding advantage. But the Buckeyes pulled ahead by hitting 11 of 22 3-pointers.
